Zephyr Barber
The term Zephyr is defined as a gentle breeze blowing from the west. The name pays homage to founder Kellen Mataafa’s journey from California to Alabama where he found his passion for barbering and built his first brick-and-mortar.
Zephyr Barber embodies a departure from conventional masculinity paradigms. In an industry often characterized by ruggedness or dandyism, Zephyr emerges as a sanctuary for every man seeking quality cuts and grooming essentials. The patron experience deviates from the stereotypical trappings as well. Gone are the IPA-laden fridges, replaced with sparkling water and glass-bottled Cokes. Dark wood and bourbon barrels make way for the soothing presence of live plants and abundant natural light.
The commitment to redefining masculinity influences the packaging design, aiming to inspire natural confidence.
Matey took an abstract idea floating around in my head and turned it into a brand. Their deep understanding of the power and energy that a name and a logo can carry truly sets them apart.
